“Disease”-
The guys visit Sean in the hospital; Katy is home from school and wants a family dinner—one that includes Colleen and Black Shawn; and Lou and Tommy make a wager concerning the women in their lives.

The guys visit Sean in the hospital; Katy is home from school and wants a family dinner—one that includes Colleen and Black Shawn; and Lou and Tommy make a wager concerning the women in their lives.
“Mickey”-
Tommy’s pacts with Sheila and Janet begin to unravel; to Tommy’s chagrin, one Gavin remains sexually adventurous; Garrity divulges his medical secret; Tommy proclaims his recent drinking at an AA meeting, but Mickey offers the final surprise.
“Control”-
Tommy and Mike must put aside their differences when a roadblock puts a halt to a routine call; Sheila uses her leverage to control Tommy’s drinking; Lou refuses to give in to the allure of an old flame.
“Thaw”-
Needles and Dwight both put the heat on Tommy, and receives offers from both Sheila and Janet. Sean reveals his illness to his mother; black Shawn sees Colleen once again; and Franco gives it a try in the boxing ring.
“Iceman”-
Tommy is being haunted by ghosts, not just from 9/11, but also his father, brother Johnny and cousin Jimmy. Meanwhile, the health of Sean continues to deteriorate, and black Sean is still missing. Also, Lou and Needles try to convince Franco into entering the FDNY boxing tournament, Mike and Damien become good friends, and a nervous young man comes into the bar at closing time.
“Play”-
Tommy and Janet head upstate to Katy’s boarding school for a weekend visit, and Teddy and Maggie wind up in Maryland, where they become volunteers at a V.A. hospital. Back in New York, Lou receives love tips from Franco, and Sean develops a new health issue.
“Perspective”-
Genevieve wants Tommy to take her to Ground Zero and let her know how he feels. Franco comes under attack when people start to find out about the conspiracy theories he believes in and Mike’s bar is doing well.
“Sheila”-
Lou finally watches the footage of 9/11. Damien and Sheila converse over his thoughts of being a fireman. Shawn and Colleen talk about their relationship.
“Jimmy”-
Tommy finds out where Jimmy was during 9/11. Sean’s back pain continues to get worse and the bar does well on opening night.
“Wine”-
Tommy thinks it is probably best to talk about sex after hearing that Colleen and Shaun have been close together. The reporter from the last episode meets with Tommy. Sean decides to get help for his back problems. Mike decides to make some changes with the bar.
